What impacted me in this experience was the role that chance played in what I created in both the choreography and photography when surrounded by the merciless power of the wind and ocean as it pounded the rocks, as I moved and was moved by the elements. There was a true sense of liberation realizing that I don’t have control. When I added the challenge of integrating the chance element of technology into this experience, I felt the creative possibilities move on to a new level. I programmed my camera to give myself 20 seconds to get into position with one second intervals between multiple shots. We are now mixing the chance element of nature with the chance element of technology. And the result of that was completely surprising and very interesting.
